Below is the basic “schedule” (details to follow):

• Week 1 – March 13-14
• Week 2 – March 20-21
• Week 3 – March 27-28
• Week 4 – April 3-4: NO SOCCER
• Week 5 – April 10-11
• Week 6 – April 17-18

NOTE:   If your child is 4 or 5 years old, we have openings for the 4 and 5 year old soccer program which runs 4 sessions starting on March 13^th 2010. Boys play on Saturday’s and girls play on Sunday’s.  The fee is $40.00. For an application and information please email prek@fpindians.com.

The tryout session for Tuesday (10/27/2009) has been canceled due to the rain.  As soon as we determine the rescheduled date we will send out an update.

The Saturday date has been rescheduled for Sunday at the same times due to potential rain.

Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL) is starting up the Under 9 Travel Leagues for the 2010 spring season.  In order to be eligible for the team your son or daughter would need to have been born on or after August 1^st, 2000.

Candidates must attend at least two of the three scheduled dates to be eligible.

The Floral Park Indians are having tryouts on the following days at the Recreation Center:

• Sunday 10/25/09 (Note the date change – this was scheduled for Saturday)
  • Girls at 3:00pm to 4:30pm
  • Boys at 4:30pm to 6:00pm

• Tuesday 10/27/09
  • Girls at 4:30pm to 6:00pm
  • Boys at 6:00pm to 7:30pm

• Wednesday 10/28/09
  • Girls 5:45pm to 7:15pm
  • Boys 7:15pm to 8:45pm

Please remember to have your child wear shin guards and cleats. Also make sure to bring some water or sports drink for them.

All intramural soccer is cancelled for today due to the weather.

There are no intramurals on October 10th or October 11th for JLC and FPBS due to the Columbus Day Holiday.  Enjoy your weekend!

Also note that on October 17th, the boys who play at JLC will be playing at Floral Park Bellerose School for that day.

Pictures will be on October 24th and 25th.  Your coaches will get the photo forms and let you know what time to meet.

The schedule for the games at FPBS will be posted as soon as we can.  Your coaches should have informed you of game times and any practices that they are having.

Complete details will be following soon, but to give everyone a general idea of time frames, here is some helpful information.  Additional details will be posted here as soon as they are finalized.

First games start on Saturday, September 12 and run through the weekend of November 21 (playoffs).  No games are scheduled for Columbus Day weekend.

• BU5, BU6, BU7 and BU8 play on Saturday’s in that order starting at 9:00 @ JLC
• GU5, GU6, GU7 and GU8 play on Sunday’s in that order starting at Noon @ JLC
• BU10, BU12 and GU9 are scheduled for Saturday mornings @ FPBS.
• BU15, GU11, GU13 and GU17 scheduled for Sunday afternoon’s @ FPBS.

If your child has not been contacted by September 11th, please show up at either JLC or FPBS using the guidelines shown above.  Occasionally there are clerical errors during the processing of registration forms.

Please make sure your son or daughter has cleats and shinguards when coming to games or practices.  They are also not allowed to wear any jewelry (necklaces, earrings, rings, etc) for safety reasons.  The coaches will typically contact you via telephone or email.  They will have uniform shirts available for the children before the first game.
