In an effort to make things less crazy, we will try and start soccer the weekend of March 12/13. YES that is the weekend in 6 days.  Less crazy because it will mean less conflict with other sports. More crazy because it means we don’t have much time to contact everyone.

The FPBS spring soccer schedule (details will be here ASAP) will start this weekend and run 6 weeks. The first weekend will be getting our soccer legs back, the next four will be real live competitive games and the final weekend will we a TBA format. TBA (To Be Announced) because that Saturday is the start of Little League.

I know it is short notice and honestly we may have to cancel the first weekend because of weather, but I know most of the kids I’ve spoken to are dying to get outside to play, so we are going to give it a shot.  Please contact your teams.  Coordinators, please make sure the coaches in your division are contacted and please stress to them the importance of contacting their teams promptly. I have tried to add as many coaches to this email as possible, but I am sure I am missing some or have wrong addresses, so again coordinators the burden comes down to you making sure.

THIS IS ONLY FOR FPBS GAMES, THE CLINICS WILL START THE FOLLOWING WEEK AND ONLY RUN 4 WEEKS (see prior post for details on the Clinic)

Spring Soccer for 4 year olds through second grade soccer will start on March 19th/20th.  Boys will play on Saturday and girls on Sunday at John Lewis Childs school (JLC).

Boys on Saturday

• 4 year old at 9 am
• Kindergarten at 10am
• First grade 11am
• Second grade 12 pm

Girls on Sunday

• 4 year old at 12pm
• Kindergarten at 1 pm
• First grade  at 2 pm
• Second grade at 3 pm

If you are a new signup, the fee is 40.00 and you can show up at JLC school at the appropriate time for your child.  If your child played in the fall then they are already registered and there is no additional fee. Your child must be four by September 2011 to play.

Please make sure your child wears cleats and shin guards.  Also bring some water.

NOTE: There will also be signup for the Summer Soccer Camp at the same time.

The Floral Park Indians will be holding it’s final two Soccer Registrations on Monday June 14 and Wednesday June 23 from 7 to 9 PM at the Rec Center’s Shelter House.

It is open to all residents of the Floral Park-Bellerose School District and Programs are available for children  from ages 4 to 17. If this is your first time registering please bring the childs birth certificate and proof of residence.

There is one more early registration date scheduled for Tuesday, May 18th.  Tables will be set up at John Lewis Childs school and Floral Park Bellerose school from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Fees are $100 for one child, $190 for two and $280 for three or more.

There will be additional opportunities to register after this date, however the prices will increase to $110 for one child, $200 for two and $300 for three or more.

The program is open to all residents of the Floral Park Bellerose School District from kindergarten through high school. 

NOTE: New players to the program must provide proof of age and residence.
